there is something very centering about living at the beach. i'm really not sure we, as a people, were meant to live anywhere else - - and now that i live here, i pray that i never have to leave. i was standing in shin-deep water on sunday night, trying to take pictures of tyler while he surfed. and i never would have seen this shot had i been on dry sand. this was taken as he walked out of the water to put his board down.
